United Community Independence Programs, Inc. is a caring and supportive agency dedicated to people with developmental disabilities. We strive to provide supports for an everyday life and people’s dreams beyond the horizon.
UCIP was the first organization of its kind to open a community home for people with developmental disabilities in Pennsylvania. Founded in 1966 by a group of concerned parents to serve four children, today we are an inclusive agency embracing and serving hundreds of people.

PAUL’S STORY
I challenge you to find a BIGGER Pittsburgh Steelers fan than our very own Paul!
If you've ever been blessed with the opportunity to meet Paul, you know that his infectious smile and LOVE for the Steelers are simply contagious! He has a way of brightening everyone's day.
Well, this past weekend, Paul was given the BEST gift, and boy, was he excited! Sunday afternoon, he traveled to Pittsburgh to watch his FIRST EVER STEELERS GAME! And what better game to experience than a Steelers vs. Browns matchup?!
The excitement was almost too much to handle! Paul was so excited that he couldn't sleep the night before. Then come Sunday morning, he was up bright and early, ready to hit the road for a day he would never forget!
Paul was also accompanied by his friend Brian who has been to a couple other Steeler games in the past but as we know, you can never pass up an opportunity to go to a game especially with a friend!
It's moments and stories like these that remind us WHY we love what we do and why we take so much pride in the individuals we have the privilege of serving. Seeing their dreams come true, experiencing their excitement, and being part of these unforgettable memories is what it's all about!
Let's hear it for Paul & Brian! HERE WE GO, STEELERS!
